Raj Foods Ltd. is officially approved by the Halal Food Authority (HFA) to produce and supply Halal food within the United Kingdom.
The Halal Food Authority is a non-profit making organisation that was launched in 1994 to monitor and regulate red meat and poultry in the UK.
The HFA licences slaughterhouses, distribution centres, retailers and providers of meat and poultry for human consumption. These licenses are granted on an annual and contractual basis. The HFA inspectors are there to audit and monitor compliances of both Islamic laws and MAFF and EC regulations of slaughter.
Raj Foods take the responsibility of providing authentic Halal meals very seriously and see the Halal Food Authority Accreditation as a key way of reinforcing and providing assurance to customers of their commitment.
